Course Description

The purpose of this lecture is to examine, based on basic economic theory, what challenges the Japanese economy is facing and how it needs to respond in the face of the globalization of economic activities, the information and communication revolution, and the declining birthrate and aging population.
Specifically, for each sector, such as business activities, labor, public finance, and finance, we will identify the current situation and challenges, and then discuss future prospects and directions for reform.
