Course Description

This lesson focuses on the social situation of China mainly from characteristic aspects in each historical stage and each cultural area from the viewpoint of culture and history, and will focus on the studies. On the contemporary Chinese society and the culture behind it, we will conduct classes in a wide range of fields, mainly on historical formation process and regional characteristics. Through this lesson, we aim to understand various factors and changes which have deeply influenced the modern Chinese people's way of thinking and behavior.
Also, by comparing with Japanese culture and differences from Japanese way of thinking and similarities, we will enhance our intercultural understanding ability and support the situation of the "modern Chinese society" which I feel on a daily basis and that We will do classes focusing on real understanding of the existence of Chinese culture.
