Course Description

This class aims to make students familiar with the Italian Renaissance culture through reading Japanese translations of texts written by Renaissance humanists, such as Leonardo Bruni and Leon Battista Alberti (language skills of neither the Italian nor the Latin is not required). The students are expected to deepen their understandings of the theme through group works and discussions during the class. Active participation is required.
