Course Description

This seminar is aimed at second-year students in the French course of the Department of Language Studies. The global approach of the seminar will revolve around developing knowledge of France and the French speaking countries societies and cultures.
As a student of this seminar, you will work on various type of materials, including cartoons, arts, songs, folktales, literary and academic texts. You will do oral presentations on these topics, and will discuss, debate with the entire class.
Overall, you will develop your skills in reading, analyzing documents and explaining them to the class. In doing so, you shall be able to improve your level of French conversation as well as increase your understanding of French culture.
