Course Description

In this course, we will study the local government and local service personnel from the basics, as well as the actual situation of local autonomy.
Each student will be expected to read basic books on the local autonomy system and the activities of local governments in Japan, and to give a presentation on local autonomy using a briefing paper.
In the seminar, participants are also required to join the discussions based on the presentations on local autonomy.
