Course Description

In this course, we will study the important issues and points of local autonomy in Japan.
There are various issues in Japan, such as the promotion of decentralization, the collaboration with inhabitants, and the reform of local assembly. Each student will be expected to choose a topic from among important issues and points of local autonomy, and make a research to give a presentation on it.
In the seminar, students are also expected to join the discussions based on the presentations.
