Course Description

This course is designed to prepare students for their one-semester study abroad program in California in the United States. The course will provide students with guidance and support needed for program and visa applications, risk management, health concerns, and cultural adaptation. To ensure the quality of students’ study abroad experience, particular attention will be given to helping students establish clear academic and personal objectives. Past students will be invited to in-class workshops to provide tips for successful study abroad experience. Students will also be required to research and present on the host country's culture, history, and society to develop their cultural awareness.
