Despite the rise of China and a multipolar trend around the globe, the US remains a super-power exerting significant influence in global affairs. This course offers a nonpartisan introduction to key political ideas, institutions, and interactions that characterize the foreign policy of the United States. The course also explores major historical changes in American society and culture to help students consider the ever-evolving relationship between the US and the world.
