Course Description

This class focuses on the listening skills. It is organized around the progressive understanding of a video or audio document.
As a student of this class, you will learn how to understand the document step by step through exercises devoted to explain the structure, the vocabulary, and the grammar in some cases. You will be invited to reflect upon the topic featured in the document, give your opinion, discuss and debate with your classmates. Depending on the topic, you will also be asked to work in small groups to prepare for discussion.
At the end of each document you will be asked to write a short abstract and opinion in relation to the topic, which constitutes the regular basis for grading. The attendance and level of participation will also be taken into account.
