Course Description

This course is mainly focused on how to improve students’ ability in English pronunciation. By using the film entitled “Starstruck”, each of the students is expected to be an actor or an actress in the film and is required to read their allotted passages as if they were the characters of the film. The story development is as follows: Alicia Marin is a talented young folk singer who seeks a summer job in a local coffee shop as a part-time waitress and performer. Her mother, Inez, has other plans for her -- she wants her to take a summer job as an assistant bookkeeper alongside her mother at her factory job. Luckily, Alicia convinces her mother to allow her to do both, but when her mother's boss promises her a college scholarship, will she sacrifice her desire to pursue her musical career?
