Course Description

The fields covered by financial theory are quite wide-ranging, such as household and corporate financing and management, relationship banking, non-traditional monetary policy, and the euro crisis issue. In this course, we aim to understand the reality of finance based on the theoretical knowledge of economics and to be able to explain the relationship between finance and the actual situation of the Japanese economy. In the first semester, the goal is to be able to explain the role of finance in macroeconomics, various forms of finance, and institutional frameworks.
