Course Description

This class is conducted in English. The class provides a unique chance with Japanese students with English competence and international students to interact, discuss, and work together in a collaborative setting. This is a seminar-style class conducted by Problem Based Learning (PBL method). First, we will talk about the definition on “culture”, “communication”, “international communication”, or verbal and nonverbal communication”. Secondly we will critically analyze textbooks that introduce an” illustrate Japanese society and culture to international tourists, and explore problems. . Students will be working in groups of their interest.
