Course Description

In this seminar, we aim to explore how idols are formed in popular subculture related to movies, TV programs, TV anime, manga, games, music, and magazines and what functions these media serve.
The first step is to develop a fundamental research method to examine media, conduct fieldwork, and analyze media content that students are interested in. Then, results are analyzed. In addition, we will visit places related to media content and industry on our field trip.
