Course Description

This lecture covers change of market economy in Western world, particularly in the UK, France, Germany and the USA during the second half of the 20th century. Furthermore, not only economy in a narrow sense, but also society will be treated. Then, particularly following subjects will be taken up: Economy and society during the Second World War, restructuring of international economic order after the war, reconstruction policy in the UK, France and Germany after the war, the golden age of European economy, transformation of international economic order, and European Integration.
