Course Description

On this course you will study a wide and relatively modern range of sociology from the functionalism to a risk society of U.Beck. You will gain a thorough sociological understanding of contemporary social affairs and an understanding of their origins and development.
 The aim of studying history of sociology is to give students concrete and unequal images of societies which each sociologists had in their minds, not to teach mere abstract and academic theories.
