Course Description

On this course you will study a wide classical sociology from A.Comte to a critical theory of U.Habermas. You will gain a thorough sociological understanding of classical and historical social affairs and an understanding of their origins and development.
　The aim of studying history of sociology is to give students concrete and unequal images of societies which each sociologists had in their minds, not to teach mere abstract and academic theories.
