Course Description

The Kawakami Sports Management Seminar I aims to develop professional human resources who can become leaders in their respective fields in the sports industry (in the broadest sense), which is expected to expand in the future. Currently, alumni and graduates of the Kawakami Seminar are active in Japan's professional sports teams and sports companies.
We first focus on understanding the essence of sports. Then, we aim to develop Japanese sports culture and identify potential problems in sports from a historical and social approach. In our seminar, each student will propose his/her own theme from brainstorming, facilitation, and presentation, which are necessary for sports management and marketing. And these should contribute to the development of sports business in Japan.
