Course Description

This autumn course aims to further develop logical thinking by studying and discussing current issues.
Teaching methods include: taking up one national or international topic at a time; reading related news stories in Japanese; grasping the gist of them and analyzing them (what happens, why it happens, what issue is at stake, etc.) ; reading and translating English stories.
While emphasis still is on improving reading comprehension, written and oral presentation is introduced in autumn.
