Course Description

This course aims to help students acquire the skills and attitudes that will enable them to become more actively involved and engaged in their university education and teaching. In particular, this term we will focus on one of the essential academic skills for university study: speaking, starting with self-introduction, followed by discussion, questioning and presentation. The lectures will be based on the textbook, but the emphasis will be on group work and the independence of the participants. The final project will be a group research and presentation project.
The course is open to a maximum of 20 students, who are required to attend guidance at the first meeting. If the number of students exceeds the number of places available, a lottery will be held.
