Course Description

In the past, programming was perceived as an esoteric skill that required specialized knowledge. However, with the global expansion of the Internet and the widespread use of a wide variety of digital terminal devices such as PCs, smartphones, and tablets, learning programming languages has become an essential skill for people in all professions that handle information.

In particular, websites built with programming languages such as HTML/CSS have recently been playing an important role as a basic information transmission tool in a wide range of applications such as business and education, and have become an easily accessible source of network media for individuals to transmit information to society.
In addition, the mobility of information terminal devices has brought about a new evolution of programming languages, creating a situation that will further change the information infrastructure of the information society.

In light of these circumstances, this lecture aims to acquire basic knowledge and skills in web programming through exercises focusing on the production of web pages using HTML/CSS, in order for students to acquire the skills to create information using programs and transmit it to society, which will be required of graduates of liberal arts colleges in the future.

By doing so, we aim to cultivate human resources who can produce their own content and transmit information using network media, across the humanities and sciences.
