Course Description

English is the lingua franca of the global economy today. In order to get used to read English texts discussing ongoing events of the world politics and economy, sophisticated English reading skills are indispensable. This class gives students an opportunity to work on and improve their English skills by reading through multiple short English texts edited to be accessible to non-native readers. The subjects of the designated texts will be on political economy, history and social problems.
