Course Description

This lecture covers formation, evolution and change of market economy mainly in Western world, particularly in the UK, France, Germany and the USA. Furthermore, some difference between the UK, France, Germany and the USA will also be treated. Then, particularly following subjects will be taken up: The Industrial Revolution in the UK, the Industrial Revolution particularly in France, Germany and the USA, the age of Pax Britannica, the age of the Second Industrial Revolution, and economy in the UK, France, Germany and the USA during the transition period from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century.
