Course Description

The development of the sociology of crime and deviance was accompanied by various theories for grasping crime and deviance. The diversity of these theories reflects differences in ways of thinking about society and people. In this course, the main theories in the sociology of crime and deviance will be introduced, with the purpose of having students learn a variety of perspectives for approaching the phenomena of crime.
