Course Description

This lecture deals with the theory of public finance economics and the history of Japanese public finance. The goal of this course is to understand basic theory and factual knowledge about the public finance system. This lecture will take up the following subjects: Taxation and government spending in Japan, the theory of redistribution, the provision of public education, and Japanese National Pension system.
