Course Description

This course aims to give the students the basic understandings of Japanese Constitutional law. Constitutional law is often considered as a Law of Politics because of its function as separation of powers, protections of human rights, and rule of law. The course examines the various of court cases related to human rights such as freedom of expression, freedom of religion, equality rights as well as the structure of the government. This course provides students with the idea of how the law and the politic cross each other.
