Course Description

Throughout the course students will learn some functions of education from the point of sociological views. The themes of 15 classes are divided into three parts. The first part will be on selection and allocation by education, and the second part will be on socialization. The last part will be on the issues of higher education system.
The aim of this course is to broaden out and deepen knowledge on education in order that students will be able to think and act critically in various contexts related to education.
This course will be taught in Japanese.
