Course Description

In this lecture, I will take up the history of entrepreneurs in Japan. Specifically, I will clarify the process of development of Japanese companies by taking up multiple entrepreneurs or managers who have greatly contributed to the development of Japanese companies regardless of industry and examining their management philosophy, management behaviors, and strategies. This lecture will mainly focus on entrepreneurs who played the most active role in the late Edo period to the Showa period.
