Course Description

The purpose of this course is to deepen students' understanding of Asian economic history. In this class, we will discuss modern history of Asia from the perspective of modernization and westernization. Especially we will focus our study upon the cases of Japan and China. We will decide the details of the class after the first and the second meeting.
