Course Description

The aim of this class is to understand the food industry.　The food industry has a large place in japanese economy and is closely related to people's lives.
In this class, you will first learn the history of japanese food culture. Then,learn the whole food industry and its history. In addition,we will review the effects of changes in the business environment on the food industry and issues for companies. You will also learn about the recent advancement of japanese companies in Asia and competition with major overseas companies in the global market. Through this class,you will gain broad insight into japanese social,industrial and corporate activities with studying what is happening in the food industry.
