Course Description

The instructor of this course was an editorial writer of the Yomiuri Shimbun. As a journalist he also reported a lot of regional issues. This research reading seminar examines the role of local media, focusing on its agenda setting function. By reading some articles, students are expected to find out the way of solving some regional problems. Students are also expected to pay attention to the daily news reports in the news papers and TV news.
