Course Description

This class will focus on the economic and business news to recognize the Japanese economic situation and policy development. For example, when you read the news items of US-Japan Trade Agreement, you should know, not only the history of trade conflicts, especially between Japan- US, but also the political situation of both countries, If you know the content of the so-called Abenomics, you could grasp the meaning of recent development on yen- dollar currency relation when you read the related news stories. With using the news items as teaching materials, this class will focus on Japanese economic situation and policies in spring semester, and on international economic situation in fall semester. This course will be taught in Japanese.
