Course Description

Private international law is a field of law where we face issues about (1) whether a case can be brought before Japanese courts or (2) which national law should be applied to the case in question. Students are required to acquire ability to analyze, report, or discuss broader problems related to private international law, for instance, international arbitration for sports, parental child abduction, international trade law, or international business and human rights.
