Course Description

The purpose of this class is to conduct research and discussion on a wide range of areas of the Japanese economy, including business, labor, industry, and economic policy. In the first semester we will begin with a circle reading of one selected basic book on the Japanese economy. After that, we will read specialized books with content in line with the students' areas of interest, which will lead to group and individual research in the second semester.
