Course Description

In this seminar course designed for third-year students, we will explore British and American culture through films. The class will mainly focus on “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” (1998), and “The Hunger Games (2012).” With these widely popular movies, the course will provide students with the opportunity to develop cultural awareness, explore the movies’ social and political messages, and examine how these movies portray contemporary issues through their visual storytelling. Students are expected to participate actively in group discussions, workshops, presentations, and other class activities.
