Course Description

Microorganisms are found in any environment and are deeply associated with human health. A wide variety of microorganisms exist in nature, from lactic acid bacteria and yeast, which are known as useful bacteria, to viruses, bacteria, and fungi, which are pathogenic and cause infectious diseases. In this course, we will focus on microorganisms that are related to human health, and introduce their characteristics and properties. We will also explain the biological mechanisms of microorganisms, and deepen our understanding of the mechanisms and concepts of infectious disease therapeutics and infection prevention.
