The basic framework of the family order of Japanese aristocratic society was established in the early Middle Ages. After that, it lasted for about 650 years until the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, and had a great influence on the family order of the samurai society and the family order system of the Meiji era. In this lecture, we will consider the establishment of the family order of aristocratic society and its historical influence.
