Course Description

This course is aimed at practical understanding of cultural properties from a scientific point of view, and effective utilization through collecting and analyzing various information.
This practice consists of three contents, scientific investigation, conservation and correction management. As for scientific investigation, observation under microscopes, photography and elemental analysis by the X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy are carried out. Archeological objects are conserved through photography, observation, cleaning, stabilization and consolidation in this course. For studying correction management in museum, lecture and museum visit are held.
