Course Description

This course is aimed at practical understanding of cultural properties from a scientific point of view, and effective utilization through collecting and analyzing various information. Also following practice in Art History and Cultural Heritages 3B- I in spring, you will learn scientific investigation using large installed analytical instruments and conservation treatments using equipment. This practice is conducted with staying at the accommodation of Teikyo University Research Institute of Cultural Properties in the summer vacation. (Depending on the spread of the new coronavirus infection, it may be carried out at the Hachioji campus.)
