授業の概要（ねらい）

　This seminar will look primarily at modern British music and the different Englishes and identities of the British Isles. Students must be pro-active in English in this pre-seminar.
　このプレゼミでは、主に英国文化に関して、特に現代イギリス音楽、マイナー多言語とマイナーアイデンティティーについて分析します。自分の英語能力を上げるため、好きなテーマを選び、英語を使って発表（poster presentation等）をします。活動的な学生は、ぜひご参加ください。

授業の到達目標

　Students will research a particular artist/musician or historical period and give regular presentations.

成績評価の方法および基準

　宿題（30％）class、presentation 1（30％）and report（40％）
　注意：3回以上の欠席は基本的に不可とする。遅刻は20分まで。遅刻3回で欠席1回とみなします。
　　　　できるだけ授業に毎回出席してください。

準備学修の内容

　毎回予習・復習を行い、学んだことの理解・定着に自主的に努めること。
　Students are expected to be active in class, prepare research outside of class, and voice opinions in class.

その他履修上の注意事項

　Homework is a must. Coming to class is a must. Coming to class on time is a must. Participation is a must. Dictionaries and notebooks a must.
　A strict attendance policy will be observed. Be warned!
　Students in this class are expected to be active and autonomous in learning English. This is not a class for passive students who want an easy credit.
　Students are expected to attend class, do homework, prepare for tests and presentations. Failure to do so will mean failure from the course.
