授業の概要(ねらい)

 This course is an introduction to modern Japanese history. The second semester covers the period between the end of the First World War and the 1960s.
 Much attention will be given to politics, foreign relations, society and culture.

授業の到達目標

 There are two objectives: 1) familiarize foreign students with modern Japanese history and 2) improve English language skills of Japanese students.
