This course develops English Teaching skills to students as future teachers of English Communication. Listening and speaking skills focus on using expanded vocabulary, and developing successful strategies in situations related to personal identity, past experiences, likes and dislikes using examples and giving reasons, daily routines, occupations, and Global cultures. Content-driven activities provide social interaction to practice reading, listening, speaking and writing in class and outside the classroom. Pair work and small workgroups present additional opportunities to share and control a conversation by adding information. Meaningful class participation is required.
この科目の目的は、英語コミュニケーションを将来教える学生たちの英語教授のスキルを伸ばすことにあります。リスニングとスピーキングのスキルで重点的に行うのは、広範な語彙を使用することや、例と理由を挙げて自分自身、過去の経験、嗜好について話す場面、また日課、職業、グローバル文化などに関わる様々な場面における巧みな戦略を開発することです。コンテンツに基づいた活動は、教室の内外でリーディング、リスニング、スピーキングそしてライティングの練習をするための社会的交流の機会を提供します。ペアワークと少人数によるグループワークは、情報を加えることで会話を共有するとともに会話をリードする機会をさらに提供します。授業への積極的な参加が求められます。
There are 5 objectives to English Communication:
（１）Listening to World Englishes
（２）Reading and Writing English
（３）English Pronunciation and Speaking Global English
（４）Expand Vocabulary
（５）Understanding Grammar
この科目の到達目標は以下の５点です。
（１）世界の様々な英語を聞くことができる。
（２）英語を読むこと・書くことができる。
（３）英語を正しく発音すること・グローバル英語を話すことができる。
（４）英語の語彙を広げる。
（５）英文法を理解している。
Tests and Assignments=５０％, Participation=５０％
中間試験・最終試験と宿題５０％、授業へ参加する姿勢・態度５０％。
