授業の概要（ねらい）

Hands-on training for English-Japanese/Japanese-English consecutive interpretation.
日英・英日逐次通訳のために必要な実践的訓練を行う。

授業の到達目標

- To enhance your listening skills, articulation skills, and thus, your overall communication skills, both in English and in Japanese.
- 日本語および英語におけるリスニングやアーティキュレーションの向上と、それに伴う総合的コミュニケーション技術の向上。
- To increase your confidence in consecutive interpreting.
- 逐次通訳を行うことについての自信の獲得。

成績評価の方法および基準

Class Performance 60%, Class Contribution 20%, Exam 20%
授業内実技60%, 授業への参加・貢献30%, 試験10%

準備学修の内容

Interpretation training using YouTube videos.
YouTubeビデオを使用した通訳訓練。

その他履修上の注意事項

- You are better equipped if you have taken Professor Masako Ono’s 「翻訳・通訳入門I・II」as a freshman.
- 大野雅子先生の「翻訳・通訳入門I・II」（1年次配当）を履修していることが望ましい。
- This is an intermediate/advanced level training class. Hard work in this class will earn you S’s and A’s.
- 同時限に開講される大野雅子先生の「通訳論II」は初級クラス、このクラスは上級クラスである。この上級クラスにおいては各自の努力に応じてSやAを取得することができる。
- There will be a placement test on the first day of the class. You cannot register for this class if you miss the placement test.
- 初回の授業においてテストを行い、その中から履修資格者を決定する。テストを受けなかった学生はこのクラスを履修することができない。
- If you do not pass the placement test, you are able to join Professor Masako Ono’s class from the second day.
- テストを受けたものの履修を認められなかった学生は、2回目以降、大野雅子先生の「通訳論II」に参加することができる。
