授業の概要（ねらい）

This class provides students with an opportunity to plan and give their presentations in English based on the skills obtained in their 3rd year. Through a variety of activities that involve pair and group work, students have chances to demonstrate their proficiency in presentations on social, political, economic problems, and global issues that affect the whole world.
この授業では3年生で習得したスキルに基づいて英語でプレゼンテーションを行う。ペアやグループ・ワークを含むさまざまなアクティビティを通じ、政治的、経済的、社会的な問題や、グローバルな問題を題材に、プレゼンテーションを行う。

授業の到達目標

By the end of the course, students should be able to:
(1) Understand and use the basic structures and patterns of an effective presentation
(2) Create and deliver effective presentations about domestic and global issues
(3) Ask questions and participate actively in discussions related to a presentation topic
(4) Evaluate a presentation according to objective criterion, and learn from each other’s presentation skills

成績評価の方法および基準

Your final grade will be based on the following:
・Active participation in pair and small group discussions and homework 50％
・Proposal presentations 50%
積極的な授業参加と課題（リフレクションペーパーの提出等）(50％)
プロポーザル式プレゼンテーション (50％)

準備学修の内容

You are expected to come to class adequately prepared:
・Read class materials beforehand
・Submit assignments on time
・Prepare for presentations (research, PPT slides, visuals and script)
予習、復習、期限内の課題提出、プレゼンテーション準備（リサーチ、スライドと発表原稿の作成）は必須。

その他履修上の注意事項

This class is conducted mostly in English (materials, presentation, discussion). Except for special reasons, you need to attend all classes punctually and regularly. Missing more than one third of the total number of classes will result in a failing grade for the course. Also, two late arrivals are considered one absence. If you are late for more than 15 minutes, you will be considered “absent” for the class.
主な使用言語は英語 （教材、プレゼンテーション、ディスカッション） 。特別な事情がない限り、全ての授業に時間通りに出席すること。 授業数の3分の１を欠席すると、不合格になる。また、2回遅刻したものを1回の欠席としてみなす。15分以上遅刻の場合、「欠席」としてみなす。
