授業の概要（ねらい）

Objectives
There will be 5 objectives to English Communication:
(1) Listening and Understanding World English
(2) Expanding Pronunciation and Speaking Skills
(3) Increase Critical Thinking and Planning Skills
(4) Expand Vocabulary
(5) Understanding Grammar

授業の到達目標

This course develops English skills for future teachers of English. Listening and speaking skills focus on developing strategies to better understand and use vocabulary, vocabulary in context, grammar, and English for specific situations related to identity, location, lifestyle, and sports. Content and student-driven activities opportunities to work with groups and individually to practice speaking, listening, reading, writing and critical thinking in and outside of class. This will also help benefit teamwork, leadership, and presentation skills by giving the opportunity to share opinions, expressing ideas, and adding to conversations. Active and meaningful participation is required.

成績評価の方法および基準

Participation（参加度）: 30% Homework（課題）: 20%
Presentation（プレゼンテーション）: 10% Mid-Term/Final Tests（試験）: 40%

準備学修の内容

Students must attend a minimum of 10 classes per semester. They must make an effort to actively participate in every class.
