グローバル化した現在の社会において、世界共通語としての英語（English as a Lingua Franca)を習得することは、経済の領域で成功を収めるのに、非常に重要な要素であると考えられます。世界共通語としての英語という概念は、コミュニケーションの手段として使える英語であり、日本語のなまりがあったとしても通じればよいというものです。本授業では、前期で身につけた英語コミュニケーション能力をさらに強化するように努力をしてもらいます。また、毎日音読することにより英語回路を形成し、抵抗なく英語を使えるように努めてもらいます。
英語の基礎学力が備わっていることを前提に自ら発信できる英語力を身につけてもらいます。具体的には、日常的な話題について鵜呑みにすることなく、批判的に考え、自分の考えを英語で表現できるようにします。また、英語で議論するのに有用な表現を身につけてもらいます。

英語力は地道な努力なしでは得ることはできません。指定された語彙を覚え、音読を毎日行い、次回の授業で行う箇所や発表原稿など準備することを要求します。
特別な事情がない限り、全ての授業に時間通りに出席すること。 授業数の3分の１を超えて欠席すると、不合格になります。また、2回遅刻したものを1回の欠席としてみなします。なお、本授業はオンラインで行いますので、LMSの確認を怠らないでください。
