授業の概要(ねらい)

The purpose of this course is to expose students to the emergence and transformation of social and economic ideas in modern Japan. As “imported sciences”, the localization of economics, sociology and related disciplines depended on the border-transcending flow of scholars, texts and concepts. This course sheds light on the representative economic thinkers in Japan and explores the intellectual entanglement between Europe and Asia from the late 19th century to the prewar era.

授業の到達目標
