Course Description

This course is also designed to achieve Learning Goals 1, 2, and 3 of the General Basic Subjects,
This course aims to help students improve all four English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) comprehensively while focusing on elementary-level grammar structures. This course is composed of face-to-face classes (the first-fifth classes on the first day of schooling; the sixth-10th classes on the second day of schooling) and individual learning on the LMS (the 11th-fiteenth classes)

Course Objectives

The purpose of this course is to enable students to learn elementary level grammar and improve their English proficiency.

Grading Policy

Exercises on the LMS, etc. (80%), and Participation (20%)

Requirements(Assignments)

Students should try the exercises of the pre-unit before the first class. Students will be encouraged to prepare for classes. They should check the words they don't know and try the exercises in the textbook. Students should remember to review after class. Dictionaries are very useful and students should use them as often as possible.( 90 minutes per class)

Note

Students are supposed to bring in the textbook and English-Japanese dictionaries for each class. (Either paper or electronic dictionaries are OK.)
