Course Description

This course deals with the following topics: (1) the fundamental skills for working with Linux, (2) the basic skills for setting up network facilities on Linux, (3) the installation and setting up technique of various servers such as a DNS server, a Web server and a mail server, etc. In the lessons, students exercise using a virtual machine for his/her private use.
This course is related to diploma policy DP2 and DP4M.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
- explain basic knowledge of Linux OS and network settings.
- explain functions of a DNS server, a Web server and a mail server.
- acquire a technique of setting these servers.
- acquire a technique of creating Web pages using the contents creation tools.

Grading Policy

Grading will be decided based on repots (100%).
Feedbacks on reports and examinations will be given on LMS.

Requirements(Assignments)
