Course Description

This seminar is based on text readings, fieldwork, classroom presentations, and discussions. The assignment will be presented to the students each time based on the goal of the class by the professor in charge. Students will gather and organize necessary information concerning tasks presented in advance, prepare resumes, presentations, and discussions. Students will be require to submit a report after the class ends.
This course is related to Diploma Policies 1, 2 and 3 of Department of Regional Economics, Faculty of Economics.

Course Objectives

This seminar aims to develop an ability to analyze the regional problems by participating fieldwork and other community activities, and to find solutions for them.
This seminar also aims to enhance 3 skills; social, self-education, and professional skills acquired in the first year Life Design Seminar and to acquire the following 3 skills which are required in the 3rd year.
1. Skills in obtaining and classifying information for study
2. Skills in analyzing and discerning the gathered data
3. Skills in conveying the analyzed results correctly and effectively
