Course Description

The main purpose of this course is to understand a history, a characteristic, a law, a present situation and a trend about the tourism industry. Specifically, you will understand the main tourism industries like the hospitality industry, the travel industry and the transportation industry at first. Then you will understand related industries like the theme park industry, the convention industry, the souvenirs industry, the restaurant industry, the event industry, the publishing industry and the social bussiness.
Tourism industry is a largest industry in the world, and is expected as a leading industry in Japan after the national policy "tourism oriented country". The accumulation of the knowledge about the tourism industries and related industries will enrich your society life. Learn sufficient knowledge by this course because it is essential to study the regional development in future.
